Es un domingo luminoso del mes de mayo. Nuestro objetivo, el mío y el de mi alumno de 2º de la ESO Zixun Xu, es la 57ª Feria del Libro de Valencia, situada en los Jardines de Viveros. Allí nos encaminamos con el deseo y la ilusión de ver de cerca algunos escritores que durante la jornada firmaran libros en las diferentes casetas. Zixun sabe que allí se encuentra su autor preferido, Eloy Moreno.
El recinto aparece ante nuestros ojos bullicioso y colorido. La gente se aproxima a las casetas y hojea interesada los libros que se ofrecen. Nosotros hacemos lo mismo, pero sin olvidar que tenemos una meta: encontrar a nuestro escritor. Mi alumno ha cargado con los seis libros suyos que ya ha leído y espera que Eloy Moreno se los firme.
Finalmente, hemos llegado a él. Ha sido muy gratificante ver la emoción e ilusión de Zixun y la sencillez y amabilidad con que Eloy le ha atendido. He disfrutado viéndolos interactuar.
Realmente es un gran escritor que sabe llegar a todas las edades. Para el próximo curso tenemos programado leer Invisible, un libro muy didáctico con el que seguro que los alumnos se motivarán mucho porque les hará pensar y desearán ser mejores.

It is a sunny sunday of May. The objective of my 2nd year ESO student Zixun Xu and mine is the 57th Valencia Book Fair, located at the Jardines de Viveros. We are there with the desire and the illusion of being close some of the writers who will be signing books at the different stands during the day. Zixun knows that his favourite author, Eloy Moreno, is there.
The area appears before our eyes, bustling and colourful. People approach the stands and take a look to the books on offer. We do the same, but without forgetting that we have one goal: to find our writer. My student has carried the six books of his collection (that he has already read) and is waiting for Eloy Moreno to sign them.
Finally, we have reached him. It has been very gratifying to see Zixun’s excitement and illusion and the simplicity and kindness with which Eloy has attended to him. I enjoyed watching them interact.
He really is a great writer who knows how to reach all ages. Next year we are planning to read Invisible, a very didactic book that I am sure will motivate the students a lot because it will make them think and want to be better.
