UNA EXPERIENCIA QUE CRUZA FRONTERAS

Hace unos años, cuando estudiaba en la universidad, tuve la suerte de poder disfrutar de la experiencia ERASMUS como estudiante. Viajé a Noruega y durante 4 meses pude conocer de primera mano cómo era, no sólo la educación, sino también el estilo de vida, las costumbres y su gente. Siempre recordaré esta experiencia como algo que cambió mi forma de ver la educación y creo que es algo que todo el mundo debería experimentar en algún momento de su vida.

Después de 15 años y gracias al trabajo de mi compañera Flor Irod, coordinadora del proyecto 4LIFE, tuve la oportunidad de volver a vivir un Erasmus, pero esta vez como profesor. Zagreb fue el destino esta vez y durante una semana viví de la manera más intensa esta experiencia de nuevo. ¡ERASMUS+ … allá vamos!

Participamos en el proyecto 4LIFE en Croacia. Allí pudimos aprender cómo los alumnos trabajan de forma cooperativa para afrontar las dificultades que surgen en la lectura y la escritura. Durante una semana, estuvimos en la escuela Os Bracé Radic de Zagreb. Hicimos intercambios culturales y gastronómicos y así alternamos las visitas a las clases con las visitas turísticas a las ciudades más importantes. Fue una forma increíble de probar y experimentar su cultura.

Como era un intercambio, también pudimos enseñarles un poco de español a los alumnos croatas. Viajamos allí en Navidad, así que les contamos cómo se celebra la Navidad en ESPAÑA y así ellos también pudieron enriquecerse con nuestra cultura. Nuestro tema fue «LOS TRES SABIOS» y a los alumnos les encantó escuchar la historia y las tradiciones que la rodean. Además, acompañamos esta historia con una manualidad para recordarnos.

De esta experiencia pude llevarme el cálido trato humano que nos ofrecieron los croatas. De un país precioso con mucho que ofrecer culturalmente y a un equipo de personas que forman el proyecto 4LIFE es algo que siempre guardaré en mi corazón.

Croacia fue el destino, ELLOS fueron la experiencia.

A few years ago, when I was studying at the university, I was lucky enough to be able to enjoy the ERASMUS experience as a student. I traveled to Norway and for 4 months I was able to learn first-hand how it was, not only the education but also the lifestyle, the habits and its people. I’ll always remember this experience as something that changed the way I see education and think it is something that everyone should experience at some point in their lives.

After 15 years and thanks to the work of my colleague Flor Irod, coordinator of the project 4LIFE,  I had the opportunity to experience an ERASMUS again, but this time as a teacher. Zagreb was the destination this time and a week that I lived in the most intense way. ERASMUS+ here we go!

We participated in the 4LIFE project in Croatia. There we were able to learn how students work cooperatively to face the difficulties that arise in reading and writing. For a week, we were at the Os Bracé Radic School in Zagreb. We had cultural and gastronomic exchanges and thus we alternated between visits to the classes and tourist visits to the most important cities. It was an amazing way to taste and experience their culture!

As it was an exchange, we also got to teach them a little Spanish. We travelled there around Christmas time, so we told them about how Christmas is celebrated in SPAIN. That way they could also be enriched by our culture. “THREE WISE MEN” was our topic and the students loved listening to the story and the traditions around it. Finally, they also got to make a craftivity to remember us by.

From this experience I was able to take with me the warm human treatment that the Croatians offered us. From a beautiful country with a lot to offer culturally and to a team of people who make up the 4LIFE project this is something that I will always keep in my heart.

Croatia was the destination, THEY were the experience.
