Dentro de la asignatura Global Perspectives en 6º Primaria, los alumnos se sumergieron en el proyecto colaborativo «A Musical Journey». Este proyecto, centrado en diversos estilos musicales de todo el mundo, no sólo acercó la diversidad de estilos musicales al resto de compañeros, sino que también resaltó la importancia del trabajo en grupo y la investigación de recursos en Internet.
Cada equipo presentó un estilo musical específico, desde el jazz hasta el pop más moderno, pasando por la música folk o el rock más clásico. Durante las presentaciones, se introducía el origen de cada estilo, artistas más relevantes y se mostraban algunos de sus más memorables éxitos y bailes. Algunos, elevaron la experiencia al siguiente nivel vistiéndose de acuerdo con el estilo musical que estaban explorando, creando así una experiencia visual y auditiva envolvente.
Este proyecto, que celebra la diversidad musical, ha enriquecido no solo el conocimiento académico, sino también la colaboración entre los estudiantes. «A Musical Journey» es el proyecto de centro en Julio Verne School para este curso y esta actividad ha supuesto el pistoletazo de salida para empezar a trabajarlo.

«A Musical Journey: Exploring Music in Primary 6
As part of the Global Perspectives subject in Primary 6, students immersed themselves in the collaborative project «A Musical Journey». This project, which focused on different musical styles from around the world, not only brought the diversity of musical styles to the attention of their peers, but also highlighted the importance of group work and researching resources on the internet.
Each team presented a specific musical style, from jazz to modern pop, from folk music to classic rock. During the presentations, the origin of each style was introduced, relevant artists were introduced and some of their most memorable hits and dances were shown. Some took the experience to the next level by dressing up according to the musical style they were exploring, creating an immersive visual and auditory experience.
This project, which celebrates musical diversity, has enriched not only academic knowledge, but also collaboration among students. «A Musical Journey» is the school project at Jules Verne School for this year and this activity was the kick-off to start working on it.
