A Falla to inspire and connect cultures
Creativity, teamwork and cultural diversity have been the main protagonists of this year’s school Falla, under the slogan «INSPIRING ART, EMBRACING CULTURES». This project, developed in the subject of Plastic Arts, has brought together students from different courses of Secondary and, to a lesser extent, Primary, resulting in a collective work full of colour, meaning and learning.
In this edition, the Falla has been prepared mainly by the students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of ESO, each group with a specific role within the project. The 4th year ESO students were in charge of designing and building the main structure of the Falla, developing key technical and organizational skills. For their part, the 3rd year ESO students contributed a cultural dimension to the project by creating representative monuments from different countries, while the 2nd year ESO students completed the proposal with the preparation of typical dishes from those same cultures.
In addition, although with less prominence, Primary students have also participated in the initiative, contributing small decorative elements and collaborating in complementary activities. Their involvement has served to reinforce the inclusive nature of the project and to bring this artistic tradition closer to the youngest members of the centre.
In recognition of the effort and quality of the work done, several “ninots” were pardoned, as they stood out for their originality and level of detail, deserving to be preserved instead of being burned.
The production process has been completely collaborative, combining design, cultural research and manual work. The students have researched different countries, their traditions and their gastronomy, transferring that knowledge to their artistic creations. In this way, the Falla has not only become a visual work, but also a reflection of learning and cultural diversity.
This year’s Falla has been much more than an artistic project: it has been a complete educational experience that has united art, culture and teamwork. Under the slogan INSPIRING ART, EMBRACING CULTURES, the students have shown that creativity can be a bridge between cultures and generations, leaving a significant mark on the entire educational community.
