Our student Abril Martí, of 5th Primary won the contest “Confucius Arrives in Valencia through the Silk Road”.
For several years, from 5th grade of Primary to 4th of ESO, Elena and I have been taking part in the art project organized by the Confucius Institute of the University of Valencia. The contest connects culture, imagination, and art, inviting students to illustrate the legendary journey of the Chinese philosopher Confucius as he travels along the Silk Road to reach Valencia.
Through painting and drawing, we have learned not only about Chinese culture and history, but also about creativity, patience, and artistic expression. Every year, this project has been a space to experiment with new techniques and to share our vision of how cultures connect through art.
Participating in this competition from our Art class has allowed us to grow as artists and to appreciate the beauty of collaboration between countries and ideas. It has been an inspiring experience that we will always remember — proof that art can truly bring worlds together.
